Proofex Engage is a unique patented waterproofing membrane system which comprises a cell mesh bonded to a blended polyethylene / polypropylene membrane which allows poured concrete to interlock, forming a tenacious mechanical bond. Proofex Engage provides water and water vapour protection to the structures and

protects concrete from aggressive ground salts, chemicals and hydrocarbons present in the soil. Proofex Engage is supplied with a self-adhesive selvedge along one side of the roll to provide sealed laps and a comprehensive range of auxiliary products to simplify the application process.

Proofex Engage waterproofing membrane conforms to the requirements of BS EN 13967:2004 and BS8102:2009. As freshly poured concrete mechanically bonds to Proofex Engage, it fully bonds with the concrete element and remains in place even if settlement of substrate occurs. This makes Proofex Engage one of the most durable waterproofing membrane system available in the market.

Proofex Engage Waterproofing membrane is used for waterproofing of Deep basement where high hydrostatic pressures are expected also for the structures which are very sensitive and end user cannot afford to have water ingress in the building. Proofex Engage is also used waterproofing of lift pits, underground carparks and other water excluding structures. Proofex Engage can be used to achieve waterproofing to Grades 1,2 and 3 as defined in BS 8102: 2009.

Floor/Wall transitions are easily achieved using Proofex “L” section rolls. The blue release film is peeled off leaving a sticky butyl adhesive on to which the Proofex Engage is attached. The seal is completed with a seam of Polyurea WCS or Proofex LM.

Pile Head waterproofing integrity is critical in deep basement construction and careful attention must be given to ensure that no leakages occur. The Fosroc solution has proven successful over a number of years. A detailed Pile Head encapsulation system is designed with Fosroc Supercast EPT.

Lapping of Proofex Engage is simple. Along the length of each roll there is a selvedge strip consisting of a blue release film and a sticky butyl adhesive. The blue release film is peeled off and adjacent rolls are laid on top of the butyl adhesive. At roll ends the Proofex Engage is butted together on a strip of Proofex Detail Strip.
